Removable Prostheses

They are prostheses that are made in cases of complete or partial edentulism, that patients can put on and take off.

Prostheses made in case of complete edentulism are called total dentures. Prostheses made in case of partial edentulism are called partial dentures. These prostheses, which are used in patients for whom fixed treatment is not possible, slightly increase the chewing comfort of the patient. Patients should pay attention to the cleaning their prosthesis. As long as attention is paid to their cleaning, patients can sleep with these prostheses at night.

They are dentures applied in cases of partial edentulism. The difference from classical partial dentures is the support of the prosthesis that is used; remaining teeth in the mouth are covered with porcelain veneers and used for support and precision attachment prostheses do not have hooks as in conventional partial prostheses. In this way, better retention and aesthetics are provided also it increases chewing comfort.

This type of prosthesis is made with support from the implant. In cases of complete edentulism, the number of implants determined by the physician is placed in the jaws and prostheses are made with the support of these implants. The biggest advantage of implant-supported removable dentures is that they increase chewing comfort significantly due to the increase in retention.
