It is the branch of dentistry in which involves the diagnosis and treatment of diseases including soft tissue (cheek, palate, tongue, lip) and hard tissue (jaw, teeth, bones, jaw joint) in the oral cavity.
Diagnosis should be made by a physician specialized in this branch with the help of clinical examination and x-ray. Surgical procedures are performed painlessly under local anesthesia.
