How Do Orthodontic Problems Arise? Can These Problems Be Prevented?
The biggest factor in the emergence of orthodontic problems is genetic predisposition. Problems that exist not only in the mother, father and siblings, but also in distant relatives can affect the individual. As well as genetic predisposition, problems in primary teeth cause orthodontic problems (primary tooth decay, premature loss of primary teeth or untimely extraction of primary teeth). In addition, cases such as thumb sucking, mouth breathing, pen biting, continuation of baby swallowing, long-term use of pacifiers or bottles, which are gathered under the title of bad habits cause orthodontic problems. These bad habits should be recognized before the child reaches the age of 4 to prevent possible orthodontic problems.
